POSITION SCOPE
The Executive Director of the Early Childhood Family Resource Centre is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the centre and ensuring that the centre remains a safe family and community-oriented organization. They will need to promote and maintain the integrity and philosophy of the centre. The Executive Director is directly accountable to and is overseen by the Board of Directors.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education, Experience and Languages:
• Education: Post secondary education in Social Work, Social Sciences, Education, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a management role. Minimum 1 year experience in the community/non profit sector.
• Languages: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.

CORE POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Planning and Management:
• Oversee the proper implementation of all programs run by the centre and provide ongoing support to employees, volunteers and participants.
• Submit monthly written reports to the Board of Directors and attend monthly board meetings.
• Ensure the centre maintains a high standard of cleanliness and provides a secure environment for employees, volunteers and participants.
• Follow, implement and enforce the guidelines for the centre as identified in the Policies and Procedures Manual
• Complete annual reporting to be submitted to Public Healthy Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Department of Education and Early Childhood.
• Develop and update annual work plans for the Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) and the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP).
• Translate all documents and outgoing communication to both French and English. Human Resources

Planning and Management:
• Responsible for the hiring process, employee contracts, continuous employee training and certification while also following all centre policies and New Brunswick Labour Laws.
• Supervise all employees and volunteers.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and provide ongoing performance feedback.

Financial Planning and Management:
• Ensure all financial and program contribution obligations of the Early Childhood Family Resource Centre are met according to the PHAC Agreement and Department of Education and Early Childhood as well as other funders.
• Write and submit grant proposals to secure additional funding as needed.
• Present program and funding proposals as well as budgets to the board for approval.

Community Relations:
• Promote and present the centre to the community, including taking part in media requests and general public relations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with community professionals, school districts, early years program agencies, Public Health and other community groups to coordinate and enhance the centre’s programs and services.
